Experience Business Class on Qatar Airways Qsuites Airbus A350

Introduction to the Flight

On my second birthday, I had the incredible opportunity to experience Qatar Airways' business class aboard an Airbus A350-1000, flying from Miami (MIA) to Doha (DOH) for approximately 13 hours and 40 minutes. This was a highly anticipated journey for me, especially knowing that Qatar Airways' Qsuites have been around for nearly nine years yet still maintain their top-tier quality and performance.

How to Book

I booked my entire journey from Miami to Bangkok with Qatar Airways using 95,000 Avios points, paying an additional $298.10 for taxes and fees. It was a fantastic deal, made possible by transferring reward points.

Lounges and Boarding

At Miami Airport, Qatar Airways passengers are typically invited to the British Airways Lounge. However, you can also access the American Flagship Lounge if you meet the oneworld regulations, but the British Airways Lounge is clearly the superior choice. Unfortunately, our flight was delayed by about 35 minutes due to cabin preparations, but business class passengers were prioritized for boarding, which made the experience more comfortable.

Cabin and Seating

Inside the Airbus A350-1000, Qatar Airways features 46 Qsuites arranged in two cabins. The seats are laid out in a 1-2-1 configuration with flexible spacing, allowing passengers to adjust according to their preferences. The cabin feels more spacious thanks to the absence of overhead storage compartments, although this might limit space for carry-on luggage.

Experience in Qsuites

I chose a seat in the rear business class cabin, which has only two rows of seats. Remarkably, I was the only passenger in this cabin, making it feel like a private jet experience. The Qsuites are incredibly versatile, allowing you to convert them into a double bed if traveling with a partner. These seats are perfect for family or friends traveling together.

Seat Features

The Qsuites come equipped with numerous convenient features, including a foldable work desk and handy storage space. However, it's worth noting that there is no USB-C charging or wireless charging available, indicating that this product isn't the most technologically advanced currently on the market.

In-Flight Dining

The in-flight dining was impressive, with a variety of high-quality dishes from both Arab and Western cuisines. I personally tried the roasted lamb paired with a glass of red wine, and everything was delicious. The rich menu and attentive service truly made this flight a remarkable experience.

Entertainment & Wi-Fi Connection

As for entertainment, Qatar Airways offers a good multimedia entertainment system featuring a wide selection of the latest movies and TV shows. Notably, the availability of free Wi-Fi via Starlink is a significant perk, keeping you connected with family and friends throughout the journey.

Useful Information for Vietnamese Travelers

When choosing to fly with Qatar Airways from Vietnam, passengers should be aware that a visa is required for entry into Qatar. Currently, there are direct flights from Hanoi (HAN) and Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) to Doha (DOH), with a flight duration of approximately 8-9 hours. One-way fares for Qsuites business class typically range from 30 million VND to 55 million VND, depending on the time of booking and the travel season.
