FairPrice Group maintains prices on 100 essential items, easing the burden on consumers amidst rising living costs.
A Solution for Everyday Living
In light of global challenges related to energy and supply chains, FairPrice Group has implemented measures to help families manage their daily expenses more easily. From April 9 to May 31, 2026, this supermarket will keep prices stable on 100 frequently purchased essential items, supporting customers in maintaining their family budgets and accessing daily necessities.
Carefully Curated Product List
The selection of items was made by FairPrice based on internal data, indicating that over 90% of users with green and orange cards from the Community Health Assistance Scheme (CHAS) regularly buy these products. Keeping prices steady during this time is part of a larger effort to address rising costs and economic instability.
Alleviating Financial Pressure
Grocery bills account for over 20% of household spending in Singapore, placing a heavier burden on low-income families. While maintaining prices may not completely eliminate financial pressure, it will certainly benefit consumers by stabilizing an essential area of spending.
Discounts for CHAS Cardholders
During this period, FairPrice will also double the discount for green and orange cardholders from 3% to 6%. These cards are part of the Community Health Assistance Scheme, which provides healthcare support to Singaporeans from low- and middle-income households.

Improving Support Processes
Beyond these prominent initiatives, FairPrice is also enhancing the way support is provided. The integration of MyInfo into the FairPrice app in 2025 has allowed nearly 900,000 Link members to automatically update their information.
Convenience for Shoppers
For most consumers, simply scanning their Link membership card or using the app at checkout is enough for the system to recognize their eligibility and automatically apply the appropriate discounts. In 2025, FairPrice returned over 25 million SGD to customers through Linkpoints redemption and targeted discount programs. These initiatives support seniors, Pioneer and Merdeka Generation members, as well as CHAS card users.
Ongoing Response to Inflation
All these efforts constitute a stable and practical response to inflationary pressures. This approach does not completely resolve the issue but aims to ease the daily spending experience for essential items.
Looking to the Future
In the future, FairPrice is actively seeking ways to expand or enhance existing support. The organization is committed to regularly reviewing these measures to ensure ongoing assistance and peace of mind, allowing families to shop without worrying about costs.
New Products for Lunar New Year 2026
FairPrice has also reintroduced its famous bak kwa snacks and introduced spicy mala cashews for the Lunar New Year 2026. Would you like to try these products?
