Expansion at DFW
In addition to Miami, American is investing around $4 billion to expand Terminal F at DFW. The number of gates here will increase from 15 to 31. This project will also include new lounge areas, check-in zones, and dedicated parking facilities. The first phase is expected to become operational in 2027. Additionally, Terminal C at DFW recently underwent a $180 million upgrade in March 2026, adding seven new gates, 1,900 new seats, and 300 charging stations.
